Buick has experienced a significant resurgence in popularity over the past few years thanks to a younger and more dynamic product lineup. The automaker has developed a fresh and appealing image, and its vehicles offer technology in abundance. In short, the brand is very different from what it was just a few years ago.
This brings us to an important question: does Buick still remain as affordable as it once was? The answer is yes, and I would even go so far as to say that the model featured here offers an outstanding value proposition. It’s no surprise that it has been so popular since its arrival on the market.
Buick Envista
The 2026 Buick Envista has a starting price of $32,875, which is remarkably low considering everything it has to offer. In fact, you can even treat yourself and opt for the upscale Avenir trim, which starts at $37,675.
For the sake of this discussion, let’s focus on the front-wheel-drive Preferred trim. For $32,875, you get an elegant design, 17-inch wheels, and a digital dashboard featuring dual screens that serve as the instrument cluster and infotainment system. The model offers an upscale finish and a very comfortable ride. The entry-level Buick Envista comes with a few optional extras, but nothing that will significantly increase the final price.
Under the hood, the 2026 Buick Envista is powered by a turbocharged 1.2-litre three-cylinder engine producing 137 horsepower and 162 pound-feet of torque. The engine is paired with a six-speed automatic transmission, and front-wheel drive comes standard. As for fuel economy, it is rated at 8.4 L/100 km in the city and 7.4 L/100 km on the highway.
A Cousin of the Chevrolet Trax
You may not know it, but the Buick Envista is essentially a more upscale version of the Chevrolet Trax. Considering the relatively small price difference and everything it offers in addition, the Envista is truly a bargain worth considering.
