Certified Pre-Owned (CPO) – What Does It Mean?

As an answer to this question, General Motors designed a ‘Certified Pre-Owned’ (CPO) program for certain pre-owned vehicles sold at GM dealerships. Unlike most used vehicles, a CPO vehicle HAS to pass stringent quality measures before we certify it.

Here’s what a Certified Pre-Owned (CPO) vehicle entails:

1) A 150+ point inspection

Our highly skilled mechanics examine your vehicle in over 150 areas and any outstanding regular maintenance is performed, and faulty components are either repaired or replaced.

2) A manufacturer-backed warranty

Purchase a CPO vehicle from Wallace Chevrolet and you’ll receive our Used Vehicle Limited Warranty, which lasts a minimum of 3 months, or 5,000km (whichever comes first). Looking for more coverage? Upgrade to a Certified Pre-Owned Vehicle Protection Plan!

3) 24-hour roadside assistance

All our CPO vehicles feature a 24-hour roadside assistance program that lasts for a minimum of 3 months, or 5,000km (whichever comes first).  The program also provides a trip interruption coverage if your vehicle is disabled, and you are a minimum of 250km away from home.

4) Vehicle exchange privilege

We guarantee you will LOVE your new Certified Pre-Owned vehicle and we back that up with our exchange privilege. Not in love? Our vehicle exchange privilege allows you to exchange your vehicle within the first 30 days or 2,500km (whichever comes first) if you are unsatisfied with it. (Not all Wallace Chevrolet vehicles are sold as Certified Pre-Owned vehicles, some are also sold ‘as-is’, which usually requires you to perform a service before it is road legal.)
