We knew the Camaro Z/28 was incredible but the ‘Flowtie’ cranks it up another notch. The ‘Flowtie’, in effect a slightly redesigned Chevrolet badge, was conceived to improve aerodynamics on the Z/28 Camaro.

Just like the rest of the Z/28, the badge was scrutinized in the name of maximizing track performance and improving lap times. In the name of aerodynamics, Camaro engineers took the gold fill out of the regular bowtie and left a badge with just the chrome outline.

With those improvements alone, the ‘Flowtie’ helps reduce engine coolant and engine oil by 1.2 degrees during extended track sessions. Plus, it also allows three additional cubic metres of air into the engine per minute.

The new Camaro Z/28 has more than 190 unique parts compared to a Camaro SS- each designed and developed to improve track performance lap after lap.
