Highlights
Below you’ll find some of the most exciting changes inside the all-new 4th generation model:
Models: Just like previous versions, the new vehicle will be offered in “standard” length as well as an extended ‘ESV’ model, which offers 14 inches of additional legroom and 20 inches more overall length.
Engine: The 4WD Escalade uses a new 6.2L V8 engine that is both more powerful and more efficient. It features a state-of-the-art 420hp V8 engine with new, efficient technology like direct injection, active fuel management, continuously variable valve timing, and an advanced combustion system. The engine is mated with the Hydra-Matic 6L80 six-speed automatic transmission.
Interior: The new 4th-generation vehicle is defined by its interior. Specifically created to lead the pack in terms of luxury and refinement, the interior features real wood along with cut-and-sewn materials. Heated and cooled front seats, triple sealed doors, as well as heated and reclining second row seats, and dual-firmness firm all come standard. Plus, Cadillac’s innovative CUE-system, with an eight-inch touch-screen and gesture recognition, is also standard.
Suspension: Magnetic Ride Control, the world’s fastest reacting suspension system, now comes standard on all Escalade models– comfort has never felt so smooth and effortless.
Exterior: Escalade offers a crisp, sophisticated exterior with dramatic LED lighting. The headlamps even incorporate the industry’s first Total Internal Reflection high-beam function, which consists of four vertically crystal lenses and LED’s. Keen observers will also spot tons of beautiful details, like the word “Cadillac” emblazoned in the light bezel or Escalade’s wreath and crest that will now illuminate at night.
Aerodynamics: New inlaid doors fit into the body side openings instead of over the top of the body, reducing wind noise and improving aerodynamics. Active air shutters also close at certain highway speeds to improve aerodynamics for greater efficiency. An aluminum hood also helps reduce mass. Plus, Escalade’s body panels are now tighter and closer than ever.
Suspension and Chassis: Coil over front suspension and a wider rear track help to improve ride quality and smoothness. Customers can also look forward to standard 20-inch wheels, new variable-assist power steering, StabiliTrak, and new four-wheel disc brakes with DuraLife rotors.
