New Chevy Colorado to Arrive Fall 2014
Canyon & Colorado Will Arrive Later This Fall
The wait for all new 2015 Chevrolet Colorado and GMC Canyon is almost over as the two edge closer and closer to production. The two mid-size trucks will finally arrive in dealerships across Canada later this fall.
A Game Changer
The new truck will arrive with later this year with two powerful yet efficient engine choices, a 2.4L Inline four-cylinder engine and a larger, 3.6L V6. Chevrolet is also extremely proud to offer the only diesel engine in the class, a torque-rich 2.8L Duramax turbo-diesel that will arrive in 2015. Being a diesel, the Duramax engine provides fantastic fuel efficiency in the city or highway. Duramax is proven to be extremely durable and reliable in all situations, with more than a million engines units sold in the Full-Size HD line.
Best of all, the Duramax diesel engine will provide gobs of torque– it’s expected to be able to tow an unprecedented 3039kg (6,700lbs).
Customers who equip their truck with the 3.6L V6 and a six-speed automatic transmission can also push the Tow/Haul Mode button on the steering wheel, reducing the upshifting and downshifting associated with towing a big load.
With three engines on offer, Chevrolet customers will be able to choose exactly which combination of horsepower, towing power, and fuel-efficiency they need.
Versatility & Control
One of the best features about the new Colorado is its versatility and the fact that every Colorado comes standard with a two-tier cargo box. Now a pair of bikes can be secured in the front compartment while the back can hold various equipment and gear. Forget about about loose items rolling around the bed. Plus, an available Cargo Management System divides the box into modular sections for increased flexibility. An available EZ-lift tailgate also increases convenience.
Back in the cab, drivers are also in full control thanks to an abundance of standard safety features like StabiliTrak Electronic Stability Control System with rollover mitigation, four-wheel disc brakes with long-lasting DuraLife rotors and ABS. Those looking for increased grip and capability can also opt for a four-wheel drive model.
Inside the Cab
Hop inside and Colorado is whisper quiet thanks to a thick windshield, side glass and to triple-sealed doors. A sculpted headliner means even the tallest drivers can sit comfortably while an available leather interior also provides a dash of luxury.
And smartphones are always charged and within reach thanks to a large centre console with a dedicated non-slip space and cord-management system for charging. Additional storage and up to four USB ports also add convenience for the rest of your crew.
All in, Colorado is sure to be a game changing mid-size pickup. We can’t wait…
