GM Sales Success Continues In July
Chevrolet, Buick, Cadillac and GMC dealers in the United States sold an incredible 272,512 vehicles last month, a six percent jump compared to the same period last year and the four brands’ best combined July since 2007.
Each brand performed remarkable well, with an 18 percent lift in Buick sales, a one percent raise in GMC sales and an 8 percent increase in Chevrolet sales. Overall, retail sales surged ahead 14 percent, marking the best month of retail sales since July 2007.
Here’s a closer look at GM’s sales over the period.
Chevrolet
– Best July sales since 206
– Pickup deliveries up 51 percent
– Best month of Crossover sales ever (Traverse
up 32 percent)
– Malibu
sales up 18 percent, Cruze sales up two percent
Buick
– Best July since 2006
– Encore
sales up 66 percent (!!), it’s 19th consecutive year-over-year sales increase.
– Enclave
sales were up 25 percent, marking its best July ever
– Regal
sedan deliveries were up 25 percent
Cadillac
– CTS
sales up 18 percent
– SRX sales shot up 47 percent, it’s best July ever
GMC
– Best July since 2005
– Pickups (Sierra
& Canyon
) were up 28 percent
– Acadia sales were up 24 percent, its best month ever (!)
