GM Foundation Donates To Eight Non-Profits In Michigan
The GM Foundation is back at it again, and will give $50,000 to eight non-profit groups in the Pontiac and Lake Orion communities in Michigan. The donation will be distributed between the following groups:
• Clinton River Watershed Council
• Oakland Living Human Service Agency
• Blessings in a Backpack
• Winning Futures
• Pontiac Center for Success
• Oakland Family Services
• Boys & Girls Club of Southeastern Michigan
• Child Abuse & Neglect Council of Oakland County
“All eight of the organizations we recognize today are making a huge impact in the quality of living, education and health in the communities where our employees work and live,” said Doug Hanly, plant manager of Orion Assembly and Pontiac Metal Center. ”We are thrilled to give back to our communities in such a big way.”
The GM foundation donates money and resources to a variety of organizations and groups around the country that are committed to improving the quality of life in the communities they serve.
This year, the GM Foundation plans to provide $2-million in funding to hundreds of organizations across the country, according to GM Foundation President Lori Wingerter.
