Canadians continue to embrace GM’s lineup of 2015 vehicles, as Chevrolet, Buick, Cadillac and GMC dealers moved 24,555 vehicles last month, an increase of 2 percent over the same period last year. Overall, GM Canada sales are up 5.5 percent for the year.
“Our sales growth continues to be led by Canadians’ love of our Chevrolet and GMC pickup trucks which were up 15 per cent in September, while our Cadillac sales increased 35 per cent,” said John Roth, VP Sales, Service and Marketing for GM Canada.
Here are some more highlights from September 2015:
- Chevrolet sales were boosted by Impala (up 39 percent), Corvette (up 48 percent), Equinox (19 percent), Traverse (19 percent), Suburban (222 percent), and Chevrolet’s pickup truck portfolio which is up 32 percent year to date.
- Both the Regal (12 percent) and Verano (9 percent) posted strong gains for Buick in the month.
- GMC total sales were up five percent, buoyed by its truck portfolio which was up 18 percent
- Cadillac sales were up 35 percent thanks to strong performance by SRX (47 percent), Escalade (50 percent), ATS (21 percent) and ATS (162 percent).
