Chevrolet Reveals Updated 2016 Silverado!

Chevrolet has pulled the wraps off an updated version of its hot-selling pickup, revealing a a raft of updates for the 2016 Chevrolet Silverado 1500.

The biggest changes lie up front, where bold new horizontal elements, a freshly sculpted hood and revised headlights help give it a new more muscular and refined front-end look.

The new Silverado also gets a new MyLink system that features new connectivity features in the form of Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, which make it easier than ever for smartphone users to connect and use their phones on the go.

Silverado’s equipped with the 6.2L V8 engine will also feature a new Hydra-Matic 8L90 eight-speed automatic transmission, rather than the Hyrda-Matic 6L80 six-speed transmission used currently. The new transmission will provide a new first gear ratio that will allow drivers to start off more confidently when under load or trailering.

We also expect the new eight-speed transmission will improve fuel economy, but Chevrolet hasn’t revealed official EPA numbers as of yet.

The company says the new truck will also come equipped with new safety as well, but we’ve yet to hear any concrete details as to what those new safety systems might be.

We expect to get the full scoop later in the year, closer to the official public debut of the 2016 Silverado.
