Chevrolet Announces Pricing for new Corvette Z06!Aug 22nd, 2014
The 2015 Chevrolet Corvette Z06 – the most powerful and technologically advanced Corvette in the vehicle’s 62-year history– will retail for $78,995 USD.
Meanwhile the Corvette Z06 Convertible– coincidentally the first mass-produced Z06 convertible available from GM– will retail for $83,995 USD.
With 650hp and 650lb-ft of torque on tap the new Z06 will also hold the crown as the most powerful vehicle General Motors has ever produced in its 103-year history.
Owners will also have the chance to make their Z06 even faster with a suite of performance parts– known as the Carbon Fibre Ground Effects package– specially created to drive even more downforce onto the car at high-speed. The $2,995 package includes a functional carbon fibre front splitter, carbon fibre rocker panels, and a larger rear spoiler.
However, the truly speed-obsessed will opt for the special Z07 Performance Package, a $7,995 option that brings massive Brembo carbon ceramic brakes, ultra high-performance Michelin Pilot Sport Super Cup tires, as well as adjustable front and rear components for the included Carbon Fire Ground Effects package.
“The 2015 Corvette Z06’s performance and technical capabilities place it in the elite fraternity of supercars,” said Harlan Charles, Corvette product and marketing manager. “Very few cars in the world deliver 650 horsepower, true aerodynamic downforce, carbon fiber and performance technologies such as Magnetic Ride Control, Performance Traction Management and an electronic limited slip differential – and none gives the driver a transmission choice or the choice of a coupe with a removable roof panel or a full-power-top convertible.”
Z06 models are offered in 1LZ, 2LZ and 3LZ trims. A range of available features enables customers to tailor the look and feel of their Z06, including:
– Premium Package with leather-wrapped interior
– Aero-enhancing carbon fiber ground effects package
– Performance Data Recorder and navigation
– Competition sport seats offered in leather or sueded microfiber
– Carbon fiber interior trim and carbon fiber convertible tonneau cover inserts
– Visible carbon fiber roof panel (Coupe)
– Tintcoat exterior colors, several available wheel finishes and several available brake caliper colors.
The vehicle will go on sale in Canada in early 2015. Meanwhile, the Chevrolet Corvette Stingray is fully available and in stock.
