Cadillac ATS-V spotted without camouflage!?
It appears the the long-rumoured Cadilac ATS-V has been spotted in the wild without camouflage, only weeks before it is said to make its world debut at the LA Auto show (Nov 21-30).
Unlike the CTS and XTS vsport models, the ATS-V is said to be the direct descendent of the 556hp Cadillac CTS-V Coupe.
Judging by the spy spots, it appears the ATS-V will pack a carbon fibre front splitter, a large hood scoop, bigger wheels and brakes, and, if the rumours are true, a loads of extra horsepower.
That bulging hood is rumoured to house the same 3.6L V6 motor that comes standard in the ‘regular’ ATS, but chances are the ATS-V’s V6 will feature two huge turbochargers in order to produce a wallop of extra horsepower and torque. It is rumoured to produce 425hp through an 8-speed automatic transmission.
Cadillac has confirmed the ATS-V will debut at the show next month so this ATS-V couple comes as little surprise. The Cadillac ATS-V will take on heavy-hitters like the BMW M4 and Mercedes-Benz C63 once it rolls out of the factory.
The 2016 Cadillac ATS-V will debut in the latter half of 2015.
