2014 Camaro Concept to star in Transformers 4

The new ‘2014 Camaro Concept’ will star in ‘Transformers: Age of Extinction’, the fourth instalment in the series.

is back to star in ‘Transformers: Age of Extinction’, the fourth instalment of the wildly popular film action series.

Just like the first film, back in 2007, the bright yellow crime-fighting Camaro transforms into Bumblee to help save the world from the evil Decepticons.

Back then, the fifth-generation Camaro was still two years away from production so General Motors built a one-off driving concept with body panels fitted to the chassis of a Holden Monaro.

Now, three films and seven years later, the brand new ‘2014 Camaro Concept’ will speed into theatres. The new concept, a slightly re-imagined version of the current Camaro, will join a slew of other GM vehicles on-screen including a green Chevrolet Corvette Stingray that transforms into ‘Crosshairs’ and a Chevrolet Sonic Rally car (based on the RS model).

In fact, several scenes of the movie were even shot on location at GM facilities including the Milford Proving Ground at the GM Design Centre in Warren, Michigan (including in Ed Welburn’s office) and the Delta Assembly Plant in Lansing, Michigan.
