The launch of the next-generation GMC Sierra 1500 continues with introduction of the new 2019 GMC Sierra Elevation. This new offering adds a bold, monochromatic and black look to the new truck, while also upping the ante with a host of fantastic standard and optional features. It’s offered as double cab in both two-wheel drive and four-wheel drive trim.

Building off the buzz from the current Elevation, the all-new 2019 GMC Sierra Elevation looks to set itself apart with a bigger, bolder grill than any other sierra, monochromatic door handles, bumpers and grill surround, as well as a black grill, tow hooks, side window trim and huge 20-inch aluminum wheels.

Under the hood you’ll find an all new powerplant in the form of a 2.7L turbocharged engine with 310hp & 348-lb-ft of torque paired with an eight-speed automatic transmission. Of course, the 5.3L V8 engine is an option for those that require even more grunt.

Step inside and you’ll be greeted with all the latest tech including an 8-inch Inoftainment system that incorporates Android Auto & Apple CarPlay, a six-speaker audio system, and both USB type A and type C- all as standard. A premium infotainment system with higher resolution, advanced personalization features, and voice recognition with in-vehicle apps is optional, as is a 7-speaker Bose audio system.

It also boasts HID LED headlamps with the C-shaped “light blade” signature element, LED fog lamps and C-shaped elements within the tail lamps- all of which come standard!

The new Elevation also boasts standard Traction Select System. With the twist of a dial you can adjust from preset modes designed for various conditions. Select one of these modes and you’ll alter the transmission shift points, throttle mapping, and other systems to optimize performance for the situation at hand. For example, Tour-mode sets the vehicle up for daily driving while Terrain-mode configures Sierra to head off the beaten path.

Out back you’ll find best-in-class cargo volume, more cargo tie-downs, enhanced cargo lightin, larger rear corner steps, and a 120v outlet in the rear to power all of your tools. You can even order GearOn rails to help carry bike racks, kayaks and other accessories.

Those who frequently venture off the beaten path, the Elevation is also available with the X31 Off-Road Package which adds unique suspension tuning with Rancho shocks, locking rear differential, Hill Descent Control, protective underbody skidplates, heavy-duty air filter, dual exhaust system, AutoTrac two-speed transfer case and all-terrain tires.

In early 2019, the new Elevation will also be offered with the 3.0L diesel inline-six cylinder engine, paired to a 10-speed transmission. Look for the 2019 GMC Sierra Elevation in showrooms later this fall.
