Many have praised the 2015 GMC Canyon. Whether it’s claiming Autoweek’s Best of the Best Truck award, being crowned the victor in the TFLTrucks inaugural midsize truck award, or  winning the Cars.com pickup challenge
, the mid-size truck has been frequently recognized for its excellence. This week, it’s Ward’s Auto.

Ward’s loved the inside of the 2015 Canyon, naming it one of the 10 Best Interiors of the year. The truck impressed the judges because “its extensive feature content, contrast stitching and thoughtful layout erase the dark memories of old-school compact work trucks and make the Canyon more like a well-equipped SUV, but with a bed in back.”

The judging team also said the segment was pretty stale until last year, when the new Chevrolet Colorado
/GMC Canyon
emerged and reminded buyers that they didn’t need to go to a full-size truck to get “soft surfaces, a Bose audio system, supple and durable leather, an easily navigated touchscreen and advanced safety features.”

Ward’s spent the past two months evaluating 42 new or significantly redesigned cars and trucks based on design aesthetics, materials, ergonomics, safety, comfort, value, fit-and-finish and driver information.

It’s not the first time a GMC made the list, either. Just last year the GMC Sierra
Denali landed on the list for its “excellent build quality [and] rugged practicality.” The Corvette Stingray
was also given the nod for its interior that year.

While the 2015 Canyon was the only GM product to make the list this year, we’re guessing GMC is pretty happy with all the praised being heaped on its midsize truck.
