New Cruze shakes it up with fresh styling and infotainment features

Just five months into 2014 and Chevrolet has already taken the wraps off the 2015 Chevrolet Cruze.

Refreshed and restocked with interior goodies, the 2015 Cruze offers a blend of features and value that is tough to beat.

With refreshed looks and a restocked interior, the 2015 Cruze now offers an even tastier blend of standard and available features.

Debuting at the New York auto show earlier this month, the new Cruze promises to introduce a fresh new face and a heaping scoop of new connectivity features when it hits dealer lots later this year.

The new exterior styling, inspired by the all-new Impala and restyled 2014 Malibu, means a facelift across the whole range (LS, LT, RS, and LTZ) with new “dual-port” ducts beneath each headlight (LT and LTZ models even receive LED running lamps).

While the car now offers a more cohesive exterior look for Cruze owners, the biggest updates are found inside the cabin.

A Lot More Inside

The 2015 Cruze now looks more like its bigger brothers’, Impala and Malibu.

Inside, enhanced connectivity features like a new Text Message Alert function will read incoming texts through the vehicles speakers. Meanwhile, drivers with an Apple product can enjoy Siri Eyes Free for iPhone iOS6 and iOS7 which offers enhanced connectivity and convenience features.

The two features each help to keep drivers connected all while keeping their hands on the wheel and eyes on the road.

Additional standard and available features include:

  • Seven-inch-diagonal colour touch screen and additional USB ports
  • Chevrolet connected by OnStar 4G LTE with built-in Wi-Fi hotspot
  • Next-generation OnStar and MyLink enhancements with natural language voice recognition
  • Available Chevrolet AppShop (later availability)
  • Available navigation.

The OnStar 4LG LTE built-in Wi-Fi hotspot provides a mobile internet hub and will allow up to seven occupants to surf the web simultaneously- all on the fastest mobile network. Whether it’s a tablet, phone, laptop or other device, the 4G hotspot is incredibly easy to connect to – if the vehicle is on, the connection is on!

Plus, the Chevrolet AppShop allows owners to view all available apps and download them directly to the vehicle, then organize, update or delete them as needed. Available apps connect drivers to vehicle data, music, news, weather, travel information and more.

“The Cruze’s value proposition has been taken to a new level for 2015,” said Bob McClelland, brand director for Chevrolet in Canada. “Chevrolet continues to design, build and sell the most compelling small cars in its history and the 2015 Cruze offers more amenities, safety features, infotainment and roominess that customers expect from a compact sedan.”

The new, 2015 Cruze is set to hit dealerships in the latter part of 2014.
