2015 Chevrolet Colorado!
The new generation of mid size truck is here! Chevrolet has revealed the all-new Colorado, a powerful mid-size truck with true Chevrolet DNA. The all-new truck is expected to deliver class leading power, payload, and trailering rating and we expect it to arrive in showrooms in fall 2014, as a 2015 model.
Power & Refinement
From the outset, the new Colorado was designed for the North-American truck customer. It has segment first features like an aggressive design, a multitude of connectivity features, as well as available collision alert and lane departure warning.
Chevrolet expects the new Colorado to be the most powerful vehicle in its class, allowing owners to haul and tow more. Under the hood sits a potent 2.5L I-4 while a 3.6L V-6 engine is also available- to improve power and efficient, both engines feature class-leading technologies like direct injection and variable valve timing.
The new truck will also offer a diesel engine in its second year-a powerful, proven Duramax 2.8L I-4 turbodiesel (already offered in other global markets). The diesel will help Colorado cover the expanding needs of the everyday customer.
Designed to Haul
Colorado’s design is unique to North-America. In addition to its confident stance and stylish looks the new truck also features taller bed sides to help define its unique look, while also helping to better secure items in the cab.
The 2015 Colorado’s configurations are an extended cab model with a 6-foot bed, a crew cab with a 5-foot bed and a crew cab with a 6-foot bed. With the tailgate down, the 6-foot bed allows hauling of 8-foot-long items.
Plus, because it’s a true Chevy truck, it comes with great standard features design to help improve all aspects of the ownership experience.
And because it’s a true Chevy truck, the Colorado leaves nothing on the table when it comes to innovative solutions for hauling and accessing cargo:
- Standard CornerStep rear bumper design pioneered on the 2014 Silverado
- Available EZ Lift-and-Lower tailgate makes raising the tailgate easier with one hand. It also features a damper for more-controlled lowering
- Standard two-tier loading that allows a platform to effectively split the bed into upper and lower sections, making it easier to haul, store and conceal items like tools
- Thirteen standard tie-down locations throughout the bed for use with available, movable cargo tie-down rings
- Standard bed rail and tailgate protectors
- Available factory-installed spray-in bed liner.
